How your personal data is processed on this website and through our contact channels, under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.

This notice is given under Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform. This website has no contact form, no web analytics, no embedded map and no advertising or social media tools.

### Phone, WhatsApp and e-mail

- **Data:** Your contact details and what you send us
- **Purpose:** To answer you and plan your appointment
- **Legal basis (KVKK Art. 5 and 6):** Art. 5(2)(c): necessary to enter into a contract; if you share health information, Art. 6(3): carrying out diagnosis, treatment and care by persons under a duty of confidentiality
- **How it is collected:** Electronically or verbally

### Server logs

- **Data:** IP address, time, page requested, browser type
- **Purpose:** Running the site securely
- **Legal basis (KVKK Art. 5 and 6):** Art. 5(2)(f): legitimate interest (protecting the site and its visitors)
- **How it is collected:** Automatically

Please do not send medical reports or detailed health information by WhatsApp or e-mail; we discuss them at the consultation.

We do not make automated decisions or profile you. We do not use your data for marketing; booking an appointment never depends on any marketing consent.

## Who receives your data, and why

- **Netlify, Inc.** (USA): hosting of this website and its server logs.
- **Google** (Google Workspace e-mail service): the mailbox that holds e-mails you send to [info@gunterhafiz.com](mailto:info@gunterhafiz.com).
- **WhatsApp LLC / Meta** (USA, Ireland): your contact details and messages, if you choose to write to us on WhatsApp.
- Competent public authorities: under our legal obligations.

**Transfers abroad:** The servers of these service providers are outside Türkiye, so personal data you send through these channels is transferred abroad (KVKK Art. 9). These transfers do not rely on your explicit consent.

The Google Maps and Instagram links only open those sites when you click them; their own privacy policies apply there.

## How long we keep data

- Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment: 12 months, including the copies in our mailbox.
- Patient records: for the periods set by health legislation, at the practice.
- Server logs: 30 days.

## Your rights under KVKK Article 11

You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information if it is; to learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used accordingly; to know the third parties it is transferred to; to have incomplete or inaccurate data corrected; to have it erased or destroyed under KVKK Article 7; to have these steps notified to the third parties it was transferred to; to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

You can send your request in writing, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, to [info@gunterhafiz.com](mailto:info@gunterhafiz.com) or to the address above. Requests are concluded within 30 days at the latest. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu).

## Cookies

This website uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: it has no analytics, advertising or social media tools, and its fonts are served from the site itself. That is why no cookie banner is shown. If a tool that uses a non-essential cookie is ever added, this notice will be updated first and such a cookie will be set only with your explicit consent (KVKK Guide on Cookie Practices, 2022).

This notice is updated when the website or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.
